Miette Cookbook

How was your weekend? Were you able to spend it outside? We got snow yesterday! Haha, Spring is a tricky bugger here in Utah. I wanted to share with you a favorite cookbook today since I haven't done that in awhile. Thanks for stopping in today!
Miette is a delightful pastry shop in San Francisco that came out with a cookbook last year. Many a blogger posted about it and I thought today I'd bring it up again because not only is it a beautiful cookbook, but the recipes are really good. Like, really good. My mom was recently there and brought me home their cookbook. My mom is forever thoughtful and knows how bad I'd like to visit the actual shop someday, so she brought me home the cookbook to tide me over until I can visit San Francisco's most charming pastry shop. Miette is renowned for beautiful cakes and pastries that are 'modern American interpretations of classic European desserts'. Love that. Here is a little taste of this fab cookbook:
You get a little peak into the shop in the opening pages. And that gorgeous wallpaper that everyone loves so much.
Detailed pictures on how to frost their Tomboy Cake. This makes me want to frost all my layer cakes this way. Love!
Panna-cotta is one of my all-time favorite desserts and buttermilk is one of my all-time favorite ingredients to use in desserts. Can't go wrong here!
You process the walnuts in their chocolate-chip cookies. Giving the cookies the right amount of crunch. We've made these and they are yummy.
And the cookbook has scalloped pages that win me over again, and again.

I think this would be an excellent gift for a loved-one who loves to bake or for the cookbook collector.....is there such a thing? ;) You can find it on amazon right {{HERE}}.
