A group of us hit up the midnight showing of The Hunger Games last night (or should I say this morning?). I was so happy to be there and I thoroughly enjoyed a night out with good pals, even though it was way past our bedtimes and even if we were surrounded on all sides by crazy teenagers. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
So, the movie! I thought it was so good. Totally dug it. The way I envisioned things to be from reading the book were totally how they portrayed them in the movie. District 12, the crazy fashions of the Capitol people, the arena...it was all really spot on, I thought. I'm no movie critic or expert on movies, but I thought the casting was really well done, too.
So, tell me. Are you into The Hunger Games? Have you read all the books (I'm only part way through the last book)? Did you go see the movie last night?

I loved it, but man they had to skim over things in order to fit in into 2.5 hours. I wish they would do 2 movies per book. :)
Haley- I know! Kara and I wished they would have done a little more backstory on Peeta and Katniss. How he purposely burned the bread then got beat for giving it to her.
I totally wish they'd do two. And you just go for a double feature. :)
Can't wait to see it! I need to stop watching so much TV and read the dang books!

read them 2 weeks ago and watched the movie saturday. love love loved it. but of course sad about the things that were left out and changed.
