Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Ingredients:
Cream together:
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
Add and mix in:
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add and mix in:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Then place on an ungreased cookie sheet and into the oven for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden. Stick whatever candy you desire in the center of each cookie right out of the oven! Makes approx 48 small cookies!
Note: I know traditionally these cookies are rolled in granulated sugar, but our Mom has been rolling them in powdered sugar for years and it is sooo good! It gives the outside of the baked cookie a sort of light and buttery coating!

Yum!! Sounds and looks delish!
Ah crap, you just settled a months-old bet between Lance and me, and it looks like he's the winner. Luckily I get to eat my words, and they will still be delicious, even if they're not technically chocolate. :)
Oh no! Every time you post a dessert, I just HAVE to try it. No wonder I can't get to my pre baby size!
