Over the course of the last month I have consumed literally more donuts than I have in the last 5 years combined! Donuts are without a shadow of a doubt my favorite indulgence! Rainbow Sprinkled, Maple Bars, Jelly Filled, Chocolate Cake, I'll take em' almost anyway I can get em'! My fams favorite place to get donuts here in the valley is at Days Market! But we are big lovers of Banberry Cross in SLC and Shmidts Bakery in Midway also! If there was a Winchell's anywhere near us, it would reign as King in our book! I remember Saturday nights were donut and hot chocolate nights at our house growing up! Bri and I were laughing just the other day about how those leftover Winchell's donuts, sitting so invitingly down in the kitchen, would be the only thing that got our keesters up and out of bed Sunday mornings! Maybe this was Mom and Dad's sneaky way of getting us to church on time!;) Man, how I miss Winchell's! They mysteriously up and left Utah a couple years ago! So if you live near one DON'T take it for granted! So, with my donut eating at an all time high, I've packed on a few! Though they aren't very welcome pounds, they are indeed happy pounds!:) Go and enjoy a sweet, tender and fried treat today! YOU DESERVE IT!

Donuts are my number 1 indulgence too. When I'm really, REALLY hankering for a treat, it's off to Chevron for their chocolate cake w/ chocolate frosting Dunford Donuts. Sheesh they're good. I should try buying some Saturday night and see if it helps me get to church on time.
Oh this post made me laugh...Where do I start with Winchells donuts? I think my dad takes the cake on t his one...he would take out a donut, put about 2 T butter on it and microwave it for 25 seconds so it was hot and smothered with butter! Of course when we were little we thought it was SO good...now we can't even imagine!
Winchells... brings back so many memories as a kid. I remember being a frequent costumer there with my dad. Costco chocolate cake donuts are now one of the favorites at the Dickinson household. Not sure how many dozed we went through over there during the month of July. I don't even have a Costco here... sigh... LOVE this blog!
In honor of this post I went to Winchells down the street and enjoyed a treat. I felt it was the least I could do. ;)
Oh Haley, I love Dunford donuts too! Chocolate on chocolate is what it's all about! Kelli, well there's a heart attack waiting to happen eh? The donut alone could potentially send anyone into cardiac arrest! winchells is still the best though!;). Natalie, I haven't tried the chocolate cake donuts from Costco. Hmmm, I may have to go and get me some a thems! Kalani!!! I'm so jealous! Seriously you have no clue! Thanks for sharing and letting me live vicariously!:)
