I love to make salsa. I especially love that so many of the ingredients it requires are at their peek and can be picked from my garden! This particular recipe is from my parents backyard neighbor-- we've made this hundreds of times. It has everything that you would want from a salsa. Enjoy!
Recipe:
1 14 1/2 oz can Del Monte Mexican Stewed Tomatoes
1 red bell pepper, finely diced (this is an addition I've made)
1 medium tomato, finely diced (this is an addition I've made)
1/4 cup finely diced red onion
1/2 small can diced green chiles
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tbs chopped fresh cilantro
1-2 minced garlic cloves
1/8 tsp Tabasco (optional)
Process tomatoes in a blender (or use a baymix or food processor) for a few seconds. You want the chunks to get broken up, but still retain some body. Pour tomato mixture into medium sized bowl and add remainder of ingredients. Stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate (it tastes better the next day). Will keep in fridge up to a week.

funny, my mom gave me this recipe (minus your additions) but it's labeled "Vicki McMurray's Famous Salsa" :)
Awesome. Now you really need to make it. :)
